PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY (PRP)
With various medical interventions, scientists have opened many alternative paths to curb different ailments in the human body. Platelet Rich Plasma technique (PRP) for hair restoration is one of the paths to curb hair fall and to retain density of hair.
Since blood plasma is considered as the source of rejuvenation and regeneration of new cells as it contains active growth factors and essential proteins, it is extensively used to promote hair growth. While everyone is not comfortable with surgical methodologies for hair transplantation, no matter how safe they are, the non- surgical methods have always gained the popularity.

Procedure – How PRP Therapy is Performed
- First of all, an amount of blood between 60-100ml is taken from the patient and centrifuged. Plasma is further divided into two types – Rich Plasma and Poor Plasma.
- The portion that contains the most platelets and growth factors is known as Rich Plasma. We keep this portion of the plasma.
- The other portion of Platelets (Poor Plasma) is discarded.
In the next step, Rich Plasma is re-injected into the scalp. This provides high levels of every factor needed for healing and healthy hair growth.
It helps to generate new hair growth, thicken existing hair growth, and make transplanted hair grow thicker and healthier.
